PET
BCM
The PET (Preparation for effective trial) and BCM (Better Case Management) are the documents that need to be prepared prior to trial in a Magistrates' or Crown Court respectively. Clicking through on either of these take you to the section of Common Platform where you can either review an existing document or observe the preparation of a new one (NGAP court).
If you are in a trial court, the process is similar to the IDPC bundle (though in this case you don't download but view directly on the system). Navigate through to the PET form and click the "Edit/View button" to review before the trial
If you are in an NGAP court, initially clicking onto one two tabs will show "No PET forms for this case". However, once a PET form is started by the prosecution, and saved then, if you refresh your screen, you will see a new PET form appear. Each time one of the contributors saves some changes, and you refresh your screen, you will see those changes appear. Once everyone is happy, you will see that you have an opportunity to click a button called "finalise". This is the equivalent of the magistrate's signature in the old, paper form.
In this test system, only the PET form route is simulated. The BCM is rarely used and is similar to the PET form preparation.
